Brother by Ania Ahlborn - Limited Edition
Published: December 2019.
Brother is the terrifying tale of a family’s disturbing traditions, and of one brother’s determination to break free from all he has ever known. In a crooked farmhouse off the beaten path and miles away from civilization live the Morrows. A band of eccentric recluses, the family keeps to themselves so as not to be questioned by local police when girls go missing from the side of the highway. But nineteen-year-old Michael Morrow is different. He derives no pleasure in the screams that echo through the trees.
Michael pines for a life of normalcy and to see a world beyond that of West Virginia. In the nearby town of Dahlia, Michael meets Alice, a pretty girl working at a record shop. He is immediately smitten, but his family is all too eager to remind him of the monster he is.
Hailed by critics as “impossible to put down,” Ahlborn delivers all the guilt, guts, and gore of family drama as Michael fights to attain the life he longs for.

Suntup has released a truly beautiful edition. It begins with a finely textured cover and incredible artist rendered illustrations. The feel of something darkly beautiful begins here. The tale that "Brother" tells is deeply felt and belongs among the classic horror stories. A tale for these times; a tale of feeling of belonging and not belonging at the same time; a tale of horror and dysfunction. Holding this gorgeous volume in your hands will get you through to the end.
Boards look incredible!
Great book . Awesome.
I cannot say how highly I regard Suntup! The books is stunning! I mean to hold it in your hand with the feel of a soft cigar leaf - it is just a gorgeous book and unlike anything I have ever seen. Their communication is fantastic and they are very helpful, and even helped find me a copy numbered below 250 so I could pursue matching future editions they might do by Ania Ahlborn.
I recently received my copy of Brother. The first thing that struck me was how well packaged and protected the book was. Then, upon seeing the book, I was struck by how singularly unique this volume is. Everything about it is wonderful: the production, printing, the overall, very distinctive look of the book with its weathered appearance. A truly beautiful book that showcases Suntup’s dedication to producing truly remarkable books.
