Brother is the terrifying tale of a family’s disturbing traditions, and of one brother’s determination to break free from all he has ever known. In a crooked farmhouse off the beaten path and miles away from civilization live the Morrows. A band of eccentric recluses, the family keeps to themselves so as not to be questioned by local police when girls go missing from the side of the highway. But nineteen-year-old Michael Morrow is different. He derives no pleasure in the screams that echo through the trees.

Michael pines for a life of normalcy and to see a world beyond that of West Virginia. In the nearby town of Dahlia, Michael meets Alice, a pretty girl working at a record shop. He is immediately smitten, but his family is all too eager to remind him of the monster he is.

Hailed by critics as “impossible to put down,” Ahlborn delivers all the guilt, guts, and gore of family drama as Michael fights to attain the life he longs for.

Boy oh boy oh boy!

First of all, hats off to whoever is in-charge of the title selection at Suntup! What a book. I started reading Brother without any context and finished it in 48 hours! It was unputdownable. If I didn't have work and two kids, probably would have finished it much faster. I enjoyed it so much but also disturbed that I enjoyed the book - quite a conflict! Just read it...you will not regret picking up this book. The Suntup treatment made it all the more enjoyable!

Brother PC copy

I was lucky enough to order the Brother PC book. It was a far speedier turnaround than I was expecting – I received it within days from the US to Qatar. It's hard to tell why it was a dinged copy, it's a fantastic book, congrats to all involved.

Brother - Scratch & Dent Sale

Beautiful book and it was nearly impossible to find any imperfections on my copy. If it wasn't part of the scratch & dent sale, I would have never even noticed.

Keep it up Suntup!

Unique.....wonderful...

How did I wait so long to add this wonderful book to my Suntup shelf? Having just received it, I find this book to be exceptional. This has to be one of the best books to hold texturally, unique in so many ways. You just feel special holding this one, the case, the book, the crispness of the page and the beauty of the pictures. While I love all of my Suntup editions, this one is truly special...
