I Am Legend by Richard Matheson - Numbered Edition
Publication: Summer 2020
“This may be the most terrifying novel you will ever read.”
This quote from mystery writer William Campbell Gault graced the first edition cover of what would become one of the most influential and adapted works of the 20th century. Originally published in 1954, Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend ushered in a different kind of novel, defying and transcending genre to combine elements of horror and science fiction within a post-apocalyptic frame.
I Am Legend is the story of Robert Neville, who appears to be the sole survivor of a pandemic that has turned the human race into a crossbreed of zombies and vampires. Robert must hunt by day, hide by night, and most importantly, survive.
In 2012, the Horror Writers Association gave I Am Legend the special Vampire Novel of the Century Award. The novel and Richard Matheson are often credited for creating the zombie-vampire genre.

Very satisfied with the purchase, this design is much better than the initial one. Simply quality stuff. My only little gripe would be that the slipcase might feel a little bit cheaper than what I am used from Suntup (compared to The Road, The Haunting of Hill House or Rosemary’s Baby for example), but nothing to take away anything from the rest of the production, which is stellar.
It looks a remarkably simple book but that is deceiving. The more you look and handle this volume, the more you appreciate how right it is. The size, weight, feel, paper, print and binding, are all in harmony.
getting a new Suntup book is an event for me, after the box arrives i wait until all else is done before opening, i inspect my new book thoroughly. As an object a Suntup book is a treasure to hold! this book is fantastic!
The book and customer service were simply amazing. I am in awe of what Suntup is doing and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.
This edition is absolutely stunning. I can’t get over the quality of the paper, and I am in love with the deckled edge. Everything about this book is, as usual for Suntup, well thought out and perfectly executed.
